Just my opinion...climbing the NY Times building

Recalling headlines regarding those three persons that attempted to climb to the top of the New York Times Building. It is my opinion these self-indulgent, egotistical, less then considerate humans, should have been sentenced to jail time...and not, slapped on the wrist and given community service. Give me a break...whoever heard of giving a person such a ridiculous sentence (word used quite liberally I must say) that endangered the life of so many others for their own gratification and self-promotion.

Each proclaimed they did it for a cause...global warming, malaria and, anti-Bush book.

Had one of these men fallen who is to say how many countless others, going about their everyday, would have been gravely injured, and perhaps even killed, by such an impact...and, families needlessly fractured. Sure on the surface it may have seemed intriguing...maybe even mesmerizing... but, those that sit in our Courts and are elected or appointed to look over the general welfare of it's citizens should have taken a no-nonsense approach.

We need to stop glorifying and excusing inconsiderate and dangerous behavior...life is not a rehearsal...it's a one shot deal.

This is not to be confused with those that rock climb, mountain climb, or take part in other very dangerous and risky sports...that is their choice...and all that take part in those sports are mindful and fully dedicated to the rules and obligations (i.e., rescuing others within.) True athletes are not looking to impress at the expense of another's well-being.

and that's just my opinion of those three men (who do not deserve to have their names noted in my blog.)

Peace to you and yours,
OWW/Claire
